Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Mainspring, a macOS application published by Caretopia Network Private Limited ("we", "us"). By installing or using Mainspring you agree to them.

Licence

When you buy Mainspring you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the application. It is a one-time purchase of 29 US dollars, not a subscription, and it includes updates to the current major version. The licence is for your personal or internal business use. You may install it on the Macs you personally own or use for work.

You may not resell, redistribute, rent, or sublicense Mainspring, and you may not decompile or reverse engineer it except where that right cannot be excluded by law.

Trial

Mainspring includes a free trial so you can evaluate it before buying. No account and no card details are required for the trial. When the trial ends, features remain locked until a licence is activated.

Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Your receipt and any billing questions are handled through them. If Mainspring does not work for you, contact us at hello@trymainspring.com within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you.

What Mainspring does to your Mac

Mainspring changes macOS settings that Apple exposes through standard system preferences and configuration mechanisms. Every change it makes is designed to be reversible from within the app. Some changes require administrator authorisation, which macOS will prompt you for.

Changing system settings always carries some risk. You are responsible for your own data and for keeping backups. We strongly recommend keeping a current Time Machine or equivalent backup.

No warranty

Mainspring is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Mainspring is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

Termination

Your licence ends if you materially breach these terms. You may stop using Mainspring at any time by uninstalling it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always at this address, with the date shown above.
