Set up Hot Corners

Hot Corners trigger an action when you push the pointer into a corner of the screen. Mainspring shows all four on a small picture of your screen, so you can set them at a glance.
Set a corner
- Open Browse all and pick the Mission Control chip. The Hot Corners card is at the top — “Pick what each corner of your screen does.”
- Click the menu in the corner you want to set. A corner with nothing set shows —.
- Choose an action. The corner's label and bracket light up to show it's active.
It takes effect straight away; the Dock restarts briefly to pick up the change.
The actions

| Mission Control | shows all your open windows and Spaces |
| App Windows | shows the windows of the app you're using |
| Show Desktop | moves windows aside to reveal the desktop |
| Screen Saver | starts the screen saver |
| Sleep Display | turns the display off |
| Launchpad | opens Launchpad |
| Notifications | opens Notification Center |
| Lock Screen | locks your Mac |
| Quick Note | opens a Quick Note |
Good to know
- These are the same Hot Corners as in System Settings — change them in either place.
- System Settings lets a corner require a modifier key, such as ⌘. Setting a corner in Mainspring clears the modifier for that corner, so it works on its own.
- Choose Off to clear a corner.
- Hot Corners aren't counted in On now and aren't part of scenes.
